Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Chapel Hill Cat Sitters considered the most trusted cat sitting service?
As a dedicated cat sitting service, we focus entirely on feline care. This focus helps us understand cat behavior, stress signals, and medical needs more thoroughly. Each visit includes feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, enrichment, gentle attention if your cat enjoys it, and detailed visit updates. Our clients value our reliability, clear communication, and the peace of mind that comes from professional, consistent care.
Are your cat sitters insured and background checked?
Yes, all of our cat sitters are fully insured and background checked. We carefully screen every team member to ensure they are trustworthy, experienced, and committed to providing safe, reliable in-home care. You can feel confident knowing your cat and home are in professional, responsible hands while you’re away.
What services do you provide during a cat sitting visit?
During each cat sitting visit, we provide personalized, in-home care to keep your cat comfortable and cared for in their familiar environment. Services include feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and attention based on your cat’s personality. We also monitor your cat’s health and behavior, administer medication if needed, and provide visit updates with photos so you can stay connected while you’re away.
How do I book with Chapel Hill Cat Sitters?
Booking with our Chapel Hill Cat Sitters is simple. Start by creating a profile on our booking platform, Time to Pet. Once we receive your request, we’ll reach out to confirm availability and schedule a meet and greet. After that, we’ll finalize your visits and get everything set up so your cat receives reliable, in-home care while you’re away.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking your cat sitting services as far in advance as possible to ensure availability, especially during holidays or busy travel seasons. Ideally, try to book at least 2–4 weeks ahead. For last-minute needs, we’ll do our best to accommodate you, so reach out even if your dates are soon.
Can you give medication?
Yes, we can administer medication to cats during visits. This includes pills, liquid medication, and topical treatments, depending on your cat’s needs. We’ll follow your instructions closely to ensure everything is given safely and correctly.
Do you send updates?
Yes! We send regular updates during every cat sitting visit. We send a report card with photos, notes about your cat’s mood, meals, playtime, and any other observations, so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away.
What if my cat hides?
No worries. Hiding is normal for many cats, especially around new people. Our sitters are patient and experienced with shy or anxious cats. We give your cat space, move at their pace, and provide food, water, and care from a distance if needed. Even if your cat hides, we make sure their needs are met and send you updates on how they are doing.
